About igus
Sabrina: igus is a manufacturer of high-performance polymers for motion and develops and produces so-called "motion plastics". The innovative products made of lubrication-free plastics include energy supply systems, highly flexible cables, plain and linear bearings, thread technology, 3D printing, low cost automation and smart plastics. These are used in all industries and thousands of applications wherever things move.
Our goal here is to improve technology and reduce costs, CO2-neutral and without plastic waste!
Igus' customs challenge
Sabrina: Today, we serve 188,000 companies from more than 80 countries around the world and for more than 50 different industries, such as the automotive or packaging industry, rail or agricultural technology, machine tool manufacturing or renewable energies.
Movement is omnipresent. We see this every day when we are allowed to accompany our customers in exciting projects. In addition to our innovative standard products, individual desired products can be easily configured with our digital helpers on our homepage or individual 3D models. This diversity is reflected in our tariff.
traide as the optimal solution
Sabrina: We got to know traide in the spring of 2022. We were able to use traide directly without an IT interface and yet the import is automated. During the pilot phase, there were many feedback cycles to constantly expand the functionalities. Besides the automated tariffing function, we like to use the audit AI, or the AI to evaluate the available descriptions of goods, to continuously improve the data.
